Sometimes the destination is pre-determined. A city is chosen, a plane or train ticket purchased, car rentals and hotel bookings arranged. Research done in advance, e-mails sent to trusted friends for suggestions. Expectations often met and occasionally exceeded.
Other times a fork in the road changes the course of events into the unknown. The less traveled option is often a blessing and occasionally a curse, yet the exploration of the unknown always seems to be the most memorable!
John Rizzo and Donna Macdonald have traveled together for more years than they care to count. Mostly on assignment and always for pleasure. They have met many wonderful people and visited some incredible places. Food, wine, photography, art, architecture, culture, language, performance and music are the things they are passionate about.
